Zwift Shop Ride Presentation was at the Shop’s Tour de France Promotion 16/08/24    
The Zwift Shop Ride had draw prizes for both the Green and Yellow jersey rounds on the 25/06/2024 (Green) and 2nd July 2024 (for the Yellow Jersey Round), Plus another draw prize for all that rode the series.
It was very exciting – with three Mark Cavendish signed Astana race caps from the record breaking 2024 Tour de France for the winners –
The very lucky winners were -
Green jersey round – Cathy
Yellow jersey round – Jo
Series – Tilly

With the Zwift Shop Ride held last Friday - Round 12 will be cancelled
While we did plan to run 12 Renshaw Winter Zwift Shop Rides the final round will be cancelled due to Mark Commitments with the Tour of Spain SBS TV Coverage.. Make sure to tune in watch Mark in Action.
Meanwhile over 30 riders involved in the Renshaw Winter Rides – So a Big Thankyou to all at participated, we did have a couple of riders that rode all 11 rounds – more on that later.

With our Yellow and Green Jerseys Rides over - it time to get back to our normal Renshaw Zwift Rides in the lead up to Renshaw's Zwift Champs in Early August when he plans to get back on the ride himself.
We were going to swap courses however decided to stay on Watopia Flats as that is the likely course for the Renshaw Champs

FINAL Round of the 2024 Winter Shop Rides
Round No 11 - Couldn’t of been planned any better, with Mark Renshaw defeating Stuey Renshaw for the Yellow Training Effort Jersey in the Final Renshaw’s Winter Zwift Shop for 2024 which consisted of 2 laps of the Watopia Flats.
Plenty of action in the Female Yellow with Jo attacking with the Renshaw boys, before Tilly (with the help of Kirsten) Rosey and then Fran all started riding through the field.. amazingly Fran taking the yellow.
Green Jersey (Male) was a battle between Mark and Ray – with Ray again recording a PB this week – Female Green to Fran (TBC)

WELCOME to the RENSHAW’S WINTER ZWIFT SHOP RIDES Info Page

HISTORY
Renshaw’s Pedal Project RPP's Meetup rides started on Zwift on the 15th June 2021, with the first of its Chop Off Tuesday Rides. Back then there were 2 rides a week with the 'No Drop' weekly social ride on the Thursday morning at 6:15am.
This 2021 inaugural series was a success, in fact due to the Covid Pandemic it was the only social cycling available. The lead to the “RPP Lockdown Special Zwift Event” on the 21st August 2021. Which drew riders across the region.
In 2022 and 2023 the ride has established itself on a Tuesday evening at 6pm, generally on a 20km course (such as Watopia Flat Route) with riders sticking together for the first half of the course before racing to the finish and having a crack at the sprint.
In 2024 the RENSHAW’S BIKES WINTER ZWIFT SHOP RIDES are back starting Tuesday 4th June 2024

THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE - The ride is a bit of fun while training, so low stress and enjoy it, the main goal is Participation. The etiquette is all ride together for first half with all stronger riders working as sweeps. Then riders can do an effort in the second half to get a bit of fitness stuff in.

Same Course as the first 4 rounds on the Watopia 20km course.. But this time no late starts, sorry
The plan is you wait on the start-line till your allocated start time. Attached are some the start times for people that have been riding the series. I will update this list as people enter. I will also message the start times on the start line.
Now it just a bit of fun, I can’t enforce these times, nor do I want too, in fact if you are not keen for a hard ride I am not that worried if you start earlier and take it easy, (but in that case don’t just race off and win-it)

2024 RENSHAW TdeF YELLOW JERSEY ZWIFT RIDE:
Nice to get a Message from Mark Renshaw in Italy at the Tour de France prior to the start of his Renshaw’s Yellow Jersey Zwift Shop Ride over night (2nd July 2024).
Generally the Shop ride has a nice social start, but for the yellow Jersey round its flat out from the start, (mainly due to the handicap start, and the opportunity to set a shop record).
At the end of lap1 Rosie and Jo were having a great battle in front, followed by Fran and Gary riding together. However, charging through the field, (sitting on 300+ watts) Harrison stormed to the lead for impressive win. Also finishing strong was Fran for second overall and the female Yellow Jersey from the unlucky Rosie who almost led from start to finish (ending up third overall).

Isuzu Ute Old Vale Circuit - 3 lap Handicap – 27/08/2022 – Presented by Clancy Motors Bathurst
Cathy Adams has taken an impressive solo win on the historic Old Vale Race Circuit today in Bathurst.
Adams started with Blue Mountains rider Kevin Bell and had to work hard early to catch Lara Allen and Rosemary Hastings, who were working well together in the race lead.
Back in the field, the 7min bunch of Chris Davis, Dave Claypole, Mick Foran, Darren Fenton and Nev Krahe where about to be joined by the 4minute Group of David Reece, Brian Draper, Tony Shaw and Dubbo club rider Graeme Peadon. This larger bunch posing a real threat to the leaders. Meanwhile the fast moving Scratch bunch of Jack Cannon Nicholas Barrett and Craig Hutton where making good gains on the whole field.
In the closing stages Cathy Adams surged away from the leaders with only Lara Allan able to chase. Adams taking the win from Allan with the scratch bunch bursting onto the scene with Jack Cannon leading out Nicholas Barrett for third place from old pro cyclist Graeme Peadon.
Sixth in the race went to Rosemary Hastings just ahead of Craig Hutton Tony Shaw Kevin Bell and Nev Krahe riding a strong race to finish in 10th Place.
The Top 15 made up of Brian Draper Darren Fenton Chris Davis Mick Foran and David Reece in front of the unlucky Dave Claypole who suffered mechanical difficulties.
Backmarker Nicholas Barrett recorded fastest time in the event, stopping the clock at 44m 28sec.
