« on: March 18, 2018, 09:59:57 PM »
3 Bathurst Triathletes on Podium at Wollongong.

Plenty of local triathletes at the Wollongong Triathlon on the weekend which was also a Qualifying event for the Australian Age Team for the 2018 World Championships on the Gold Coast in September.

Bathurst triathletes won 2 of the age divisions at the event with both Josh Stapley (20-24) and Mark Windsor (55-59) on the top step of the podium while Terry Roberts also made the podium finishing 3rd in the 55-59. The pressure was on Stapley to come up with a strong finish to gain selection in the World Champs Team, the young Bathurst Triathlete in great form with a personal best performance to win.

Other Bathurst triathletes to perform well at Wollongong Event included Jodie Martin, Chris Grady and Fran Grady all in the top 10 in their respective Age Categories with Kathleen Stutsel just missing in 11th place. The unlucky athlete was Dennis Martin in 5th place in his category when he took a wrong turn and withdrew from the event.

Also to make the Podium was Mudgees Matt Webster in 2nd place.
