BDSRC Sport Awards
In 2020 the annual BDSRC Sport Award were another victim of Covid19, with the Awards and Dinner cancelled after the world shut down in 2020.
However with such a long tradition with the award running continuously since 1977 the BDSRC held a shorten ceremony on the 19th April 2021 at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre to recognise the performances in 2020.

Deputy Mayor Ian North opened the evening recognising long serving BDSRC President who stood down in 2020 with former Vice President Wendy Hastings moving into the Presidents role. Counsellors Ian North and Alex Christian then announcing the Local Government Sports Grant winners with Bathurst Bushrangers, Giants, Hockey, Eglinton Tennis and Little Athletics awarded grants

In the formal Sports Categories – those acknowledged on the night included-

Junior Team of the Year Award sponsored by Devro Pty Ltd
Bathurst Giants Youth Girls Team

Organisational Excellence Award
Bathurst Motocross Club

Refereeing/Umpiring Distinction - Senior Award
Gillian Long

Mature Athlete Award
Mark Windsor

There was three nominee in the Senior Team of the Year Award sponsored by Panthers & RSL Clubs - Bathurst Senior District Cricket team - Bathurst Bushrangers Men Team – and the Bathurst Giants Women Team. While number of local cyclists were nominated in both the Junior Sportsperson of the Year Award sponsored by Devro -
Daniel Googe, Genna Gallagher, Kalinda Robinson and the Sportsperson of the Year Award sponsored by Elders Nicoll & Ireland - Will Hodges David Nicholas and 2018 winner Emilie Miller.
