Bathurst hosts Hit-Out for next week’s 2018 B2B
Bathurst cyclists had their last hit out ahead of the 2018 Bathurst Classic Cycling Weekend and 2018 B2B Cyclo Sportif on the Historic Vale Circuit today. There where 4 separate Grades contested, with great fields providing some aggressive cycling action.

GPM Stulz (Craig Hutton, Will Hodges & Josh Corcoran) had the numbers on the D2F team (Richie Hobson & Nick North) however it was Harry Bryant who went on the attack early with GPM’s Corcoran. But this was only the first of many breaks and as they started the final lap it was Mark Windsor away with GPM Stulz chasing. Josh Corcoran counter attacked in search of the win but Tom Bolton closed it down which in turn set up Craig Hutton for the win, Bolton 2nd with Brad Rayner third in front of Corcoran and Windsor.

Youngsters Ben Anderson and Luke Tuckwell took the top 2 placing in the B Grade event, backing up their reputation as two of the brightest prospects coming through the local cycling ranks. Third in B Grade was the consistent David Reece defeating Scott James and Graeme Peadon.

There was a close sprint at the end of C Grade with experienced racer Damien Bennett just beating Tony Shaw who is showing plenty of talent since taking up the sport. Last week’s winner Mick Foran defeating the top place female Laura Renshaw and Lithgow’s Glen Partridge for 3rd.

It was a very close contest in D Grade with Marian Renshaw dead heating with Robyn Partridge for the win.
